What’s Wrong With Jude? Denies Deity of Jesus & Demands Devil Worship

I was asked in a comment “What’s wrong with the Book of Jude?” I’ll share some of what I see briefly.

This author “claims” to be the brother of James. Is he? Just because “the author says so” does that make it “true”? Questions we should ask.

Jude 1a Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James

Let’s analyze “the nuts and bolts” of what this author says to see if “he is who he says he is”.

1. “Jude” Author Denies The Deity of Jesus Christ

a. Here we have a “word smith” denial of the Deity of Jesus Christ as the author twists words to hide what he is “really saying”:

Jude 4b turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jude is identifying Persons:

  1. the only Lord God, and“‘
  2. our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jude just denied that the Lord Jesus Christ is God. “Slipped it in there.”

[I believe the “office of “president” is a worldly, Roman office of this world and of the god of this world: the devil. But, I did the analogy so you could “see what this means”.] If you said, “the only President, and his associate” ~ who is “the only President”? The first title stated. “The associate” of “the only President” is not the President. The sentence structure of “the only President and his associate” is clearly stating that the second person named “his associate” is a separate person. That separate person is not the same person as “the only President”.

When the author of Jude states, “the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ” ~ a Trinitarian has to see a problem. Because Jesus Christ is excluded from being “the only Lord God” by being listed separately as “and our Lord Jesus Christ”.

Because, if a Trinitarian “was thinking” that “Jude is saying that Jesus Christ is boththe only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ” as one combined statement declaring Jesus both: then the author is denying that God the Father and God the Holy Spirit are God in Person. So, that doesn’t work. The author would be excluding God the Father and God the Holy Spirit as being God; as God in 3 Persons.

So, we rule that out ~ or immediately identify “Jude” as a heretic denying that God the Father is God; denying that God the Holy Spirit is God ~ by “Jude” stating that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only Lord God.

Isaiah 9:For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor,
The mighty God,
The everlasting Father,
The Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end,
upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom,
to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice
from henceforth even for ever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

John 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

God the Son is declared to be the Father in Isaiah 9:6; and God the Son is declared to be distinct in Person [bodily] from God the Father in John 14:28.

Therefore, God the Father is the Same Person in Spirit as God the Son [Jesus Christ] as declared in Isaiah 9; yet, God the Son [Jesus Christ] is distinct in Person [bodily] from God the Father in John 14:28: at the same time.

Can we “wrap our human brains around this” humanly speaking? No. But, we cannot deny it without denying the truth either.

This is what we call “The Trinity”.

Jude denies the Trinity in stating “the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ“. Jude therefore denies that Jesus Christ is God come in human flesh as God, the Word, made flesh among us on earth in His conception, birth, life, death, bodily resurrection, and ascension to the right hand of the Father.

Because, if we substitute the word “President” for “Lord God” ~ I think that the obvious meaning is that one Person is “the only Lord God” ~ “and our Lord Jesus Christ” is a separate distinct person. The “only Lord God” and “our Lord Jesus Christ” are two distinct Persons. This denies the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ in semantic word games played by the devil who authored Jude. [Otherwise, the same phrase would deny the Deity of God the Father and God the Holy Spirit: by assigning exclusive [“the only”] Deity to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Authors penning the sneaky, devious words of satan “put in our minds” subliminals like these. Those subliminals cloud our minds with darkness entering in through false doctrine. False doctrine clouding of our minds with darkness is why we lack spiritual understanding to understand Trinitarian truth by the Holy Spirit. [It’s more simple than what we think. We’re just being blinded to obvious truth by receiving false doctrines “passed off to us” as “scripture”. It’s not scripture.]

The Book of Jude is not scripture. It’s a gnostic forgery. And the real Jude did not write it.

But, let’s move on to make that even more clear.

b. Jude 1 opened declaring the Father to be God and then naming Jesus Christ distinctly not giving Jesus Christ the title “God”.

Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:

So, I think this supports the position that Jude is calling the Father God but denying the Deity of Jesus Christ in Jude 4b:

Jude 4b turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Let’s go further to review blasphemy in the Book of Jude.

2. “Jude” Author Demands Worship Of The Devil

a. The author of “Jude” declares satan and his angels to be “dignities” we should not speak evil of; but to whom we should cede dominion [the rule over us].

Jude Likewise also these filthy [the word “filthy” added by translators; shows in italics in the AKJV; but when I italicize the whole passage on the blog that distinction is lost; so clarifying] dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

The author of “Jude” states that filthy dreamers speak evil of “dignities”. Then, says that Michael dared not bring a railing accusation against “the devil”. So, then who is being represented by the term “dignities”?: “the devil” [and his angels/demons].

The author of “Jude” calls the devil and his angels “dignities” and states we are not to speak evil of the devil. So, if we are not allowed to speak evil of the devil, then what can we speak of the devil? Only good. Not evil. Well, that is truth turned upside down. The devil is evil. We are to declare the devil to be evil.

Because if we declare the devil to be good [speaking good not evil of the devil]; then we have to speak evil of God instead. These are the semantic word games the devil plans when putting submliminals in the gnostic books written by gnostics.

Let’s really “take this apart”. We are told we have to “dignify” the devil and not speak evil of the devil. Because the devil is “our dignity” and the devil and his angels are “our dignities”.

What does this mean? That we can’t “speak evil” of “dignities”? Being applied to “the devil” and meaning by extension the devil and his angels/demons?

slander
βλασφημοῦσιν (blasphēmousin)
Verb – Present Indicative Active – 3rd Person Plural
Strong’s Greek 987: From blasphemos; to vilify; specially, to speak impiously.

glorious [beings].
δόξας (doxas)
Noun – Accusative Feminine Plural
Strong’s Greek 1391: From the base of dokeo; glory, in a wide application.

The author of “Jude” is telling us it is wrong to speak evil of the devil and his angels/demons: because the devil and his angels/demons are “glorious beings”. Moreover, to speak evil [to vilify] the devil and his angels/demons by calling them evil is to “speak impiously” of “glorious beings”. Now, when being declared “glorious beings”: the devil and his angels/demons are being called holy in a state of glory. The author of “Jude” is telling us that when we declare the devil to be evil [and by extension his angels/demons] we are speaking evil of glorious and thus holy beings; and we are blaspheming to do so.

The author of “Jude” has literally replaced GOD with THE DEVIL!!

First denied the Deity of Jesus Christ: then declared that the devil and his angels/demons are “glorious beings” called “dignities” in the AKJV – towards whom we should not speak evil or vilify because “that is blasphemy”. [Like declaring the devil and his angels/demons to be evil is to blaspheme against God.]

Let’s move on.

b. The author of “Jude” tells us that the devil and his angels/demons as “dignities” are in “dominion”. And that we should not “despise the dominion of these glorious beings/dignities”.

What’s wrong with Jude?

It denies the Deity of Jesus Christ in semantic word games of the devil’s subtlety.

What’s wrong with Jude?

The author of “Jude” is telling us that we should let the devil and his angels/demons have the rule over us and “glorify the devil”. We should regard the devil as a “glorious being/dignity” who is in dominion over us and in authority over us.

That’s what the author said.

It’s made clear that the author means he is calling the devil and his angels/demons “dignities/glorious beings” who we should not vilify [consider to be evil] or speak evil about [declaring them evil] by telling us that the author’s “Michael” did not bring a railing accusation against the devil [by defining the devil as evil; nor by rebuking the devil] “when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses“.

What’s wrong with Jude?

The author of “Jude” is telling us that we should walk on eggshells towards the devil and not regard the devil as evil because the devil is a “glorious being/dignity” towards whom we should surrender dominion: giving the devil rule over us. And! If we don’t! Why! That’s “blasphemy!”

What’s wrong with Jude?

Case closed. It’s clear that Jude did not write this book. Gnostic forgers using Jude’s name wrote this book.

That’s what’s wrong with Jude.

So far.

Need I go further?

Because I could.
